Our Story

Our story begins in 2018 at De Anza College. It was in an Honors English class where they met - Alex was the laid-back guy in the back of the class and Annie was the quiet, studious one who sat in front. She was drawn to his sense of adventure, and the promise of a life that was anything but boring. He was charmed by her wit and deep-seated curiosity about the world. Soon, they spent every day talking - from bonding over shared goals and aspirations to debating outlandish "would you rather" questions - and it didn't take long for them to realize they were meant to be.

Five years passed with many conversations had, music shared, shows binged, and countries traveled. It was during a spontaneous trip to Santa Barbara in 2023 that Alex got down on one knee, turning a casual getaway into the start of forever. Not long after, our lives turned chaotic (in the best way) with the addition of our sassy tuxedo cat, Morgan, who we wholeheartedly adore.

Now, with almost a decade of shared memories and a foundation built on love, trust, and commitment, we're so ready for our next chapter. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you as we start our biggest adventure yet: getting married!

What should I do if I can't make it?

We will miss you! Please RSVP "no" as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

What should I wear?

Our wedding will be semi-formal, so we'd love to see you in your best-dressed look! Think a classic suit or blazer and dress pants for men, and a midi/floor length dress or jumpsuit for women.

Can I bring a plus one?

We are so excited to celebrate with all of our closest friends and family! In order to keep our guest count to those we know personally, we ask that you only bring a guest if their name is listed on the invitation.

What time should I arrive?

The wedding ceremony will begin at 10am and the dinner reception will begin at 5pm. We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes early to park, find your seat, and settle in.

Will the celebration be held indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony will be held indoors at Our Lady of La Vang Catholic Church. The dinner reception will be held outdoors at the Lucie Stern Community Center Patio area.

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is complimentary on-site parking at both the church and reception venue for all our guests. To make sure everyone can find a spot, we recommend carpooling with other guests or arranging a rideshare.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Your presence is truly the best gift! We have been blessed to have everything we need for our home, so we have not created a traditional registry. For those who would like to contribute, we will gratefully accept contributions to our future fund. Donations can be made via Venmo or Zelle. Thanks in advance!
